Career Progression Without Relocation

When you are ready to progress your career, we hope you will be able to do that without needing to relocate. For those wanting to take on leadership responsibilities, opportunities in the Trust abound.
  • Every year we offer small- scale curriculum leadership roles; ‘pedagogy leader’ roles for those fascinated by the craft of teaching, and the chance to mentor trainees or newly qualified teachers across our schools.
  • The majority of our school leaders have been promoted internally.
  • We provide bursaries for colleagues interested in pursuing a higher degree or other relevant professional qualifications.
 
For some teachers, the change they seek is simply a change of setting, to a different key stage or the chance to work in a much smaller, or larger school.

We even have some colleagues who work very successfully across both primary and secondary phases. The Trust will always seek to find the right role for you in one of its schools.

We are in our fourth year of Research Lesson Study and now have the opportunity to engage cross-phase collaborative planning and team-teaching. Secondary and primary colleagues working together on a range of pressing issues such as assessment, transition and resilience has proved hugely beneficial to all participants and of great benefit to teachers at any stage in their career.
