Excellence through partnership: achievement, care and opportunity for all
Welcome to Staploe Education Trust. All our schools share a commitment to provide outstanding learning, opportunity and care for the communities they serve. The Trust works to ensure that each and every young person receives an outstanding education and is helped to become an effective and successful member of society. Each of these very different schools has gone from strength to strength in the last five years.
In our schools you will find staff and young people with high expectations for behaviour and achievement. You will find a culture of collaboration and respect where relationships are very good and provide an environment in which young people flourish.

About our schools
The Staploe Education Trust is a Multi Academy Trust serving part of East Cambridgeshire. We are a strong, local partnership looking after the learning and wider interests of young people in our community from age 2 to 16.
Our Trust currently has four very different good schools, Soham Village College is a larger than average secondary school set in 40 acres of beautiful ground, where ‘Leaders have created a culture of academic excellence. 'The high-quality care and welfare that permeates the school provides a nurturing environment that supports pupils extremely well.'
Kennett Primary School, on the Suffolk border, is the smallest school in our Trust with 95 pupils in an idyllic rural setting. 'Pupils show a strong sense of community. They work well together and support each other when learning and at play.'
Both The Shade and The Weatheralls serve the community in north Soham. The Shade was opened in September 2013 with a busy pre-school and classes Reception to Year 3. It will expand to take Year 4 in September 2017 and this summer we open the new wing which will enable us to grow to two-form entry in the next phase.
'The behaviour of pupils is outstanding. There is a very positive atmosphere and pupils respond very well to the activities it provides. Pupils say that everyone is friendly and they feel valued as individuals, they were happy to declare, ‘We love everything in school’.'
The Weatheralls is a large, vibrant primary school which joined the Trust in February 2017.
'Working together, we are able to develop curriculum and learning habits which are of lasting value.'
